 The Glasshouse
Mountains gaze across the Coral Sea in the South Pacific and they discuss
what is happening to their peaceful dreaming in the lush green forests that
run down to the Coral Sea. Bunyip Whispers in the Dreamtime is a story about
what is happening to us on the Sunshine Coast and our impact on the environment
viewed as the big picture.
Although the story has a lighthearted touch to it, the underlying message is savage and enduring, almost apocalyptic. Anna has grown up so in tune with nature that she can communicate with Bunyip, the mythological creature who verbalizes our planetary values. |
